First, welcome to my humble site. I strive to make information available and accessible about MRI safety and the special breed of metal detectors (called ferromagnetic detectors) that can help strengthen MRI safety.

If you came here from an internet search (such as Google, or Bing), you may be surprised to be reading this instead of an article loaded with the keywords that you were searching for. This site is updated fairly regularly, so the search terms you used may have pointed you to a blog entry that has moved ‘down’ the list, as newer ones have been written. Nothing that has been posted has been removed, so you may want to repeat your search here on the site (the search box up and to the right on the main page).

You’ll find a variety of information here. If you’re generally curious about the blog, itself, check out ‘About MRI Metal Detector’, to the right (on the main page). There you’ll also find information about me, the editor, and our policies for reuse / republication.

One thing you’ll find is that things here are written to be accessible. I try and avoid unnecessarily complicated language, preferring to err on the side of understandability. If you’re looking for lots of technical information, with facts and figures and formulas, this isn’t the place where you’ll find it. I do have a plethora of other sites I can recommend if you’re looking for something that isn’t here.

I do express distinct opinions here, and that includes a level of pride in the products that the company I work for sells.

If there’s anything that you think you should be able to find here, but don’t, please let me know. You may have an idea for a great piece, or may point out an oversight in something that was previously written. Even if it’s something that you want that’s outside of my expertise, I can probably point you to someone else who can help you.
